So you want to score a perfect game in Bowling Buddies @ Facebook. You’ve played tens or hundreds of games, figured out the perfect aim and speed, but you just can’t squeeze past 215, 245 or (in my case) 259 - which is very good, but you’re still not a bowling king with a 300 to your name. You are getting sooo frustrated that it hurts your work and family relations. All you can think about is getting that 12-bagger and removing the stupid application…
Well, it’s possible with some advanced technology
Some may consider it cheating and they’re probably right, but I am leaving that moral question to your conscience. Read no further if you want your bowling reputation to stay uncompromised
There are three elements to a perfect strike in Bowling Buddies: aim, speed and a steady hand.
Probably the most important ingredient for the perfect strike is a steady hand, known to be a rare treasure in today’s neurotic society
Any jerks to the left or to the right when throwing the ball or during its approach to pins will spoil your aim. So I was searching for a tool that allows one to limit the mouse movements to horizontal and vertical directions, thereby preventing the change of direction of the ball, and came across a great product for the visually impaired called ZoomText by Ai Squared.
You will have to install a 60-day free trial version from here. I won’t go into the details about the installation, but just select the version with the smallest filesize (TruVoice - 23.1 MB) (unless you or someone you know is visually impaired and you’d like to test this great product with speech recognition and all other features) and install it with the default options. You will have to reboot your PC and the application will load automatically upon startup. If you don’t want the application to load each time Windows start, uncheck the corresponding option under Settings/Program.
In each case, select the option Settings/Tracking/Mouse/Hold Shift key to move only horizontally and vertically.

This is the key to a perfect aim: whenever you press Shift, the mouse will only move left/right and top/bottom.
There has been a lot of discussion about perfect aim and speed in Bowling Buddy forums, so I am not going into that. Here is my recipe: aim so that the white speck on the top left is aligned with the central line like this:

As far as speed is concerned, anything from 13 to 31 km/h will do, provided you’ve aligned the ball perfectly. When you’re satisfied with your aim, press and hold Shift and throw the ball. Don’t release the Shift until the ball hits the pins, you don’t want it to stray off its course and ruin your perfect game like this:

That is it. Practice makes perfect and soon you will be Shift-throwing that 12-bagger.
Enjoy your Bowling Buddies
